    A dream come true: the great mountain passes open for bikes only!

    In Bormio (SO) the summer 2018 achieves the hopes of cycling enthusiasts. For three weekends the legendary mountain passes of the Stelvio National Park will remain closed to motor traffic.
    This venture led by the Park was created with the goal to add value to the great mountain passes, giving visitors the chance to enjoy the mythical cycling climbs in full freedom.

    3 super cycling events, no smog on the passes

    The weekends selected for the closing to motor traffic match with three great cycling events:

    The project, named Enjoy Stelvio Park (, will include also several events whose objective is to promote the environment, the farming business and tourism products within the Stelvio National Park.

    Mountain passes open for bikes only: 2018 summer calendar

    If you are a cyclist, you can’t miss out! On the days listed here below the mountain passes will be free from motor traffic.

      • Mortirolo Pass: Friday 27 July from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
      • Gavia Pass: Sunday 29 July from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
    • Stelvio Bike Day – Saturday 1 September
      • Mortirolo Pass: Friday 31 August from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

    30th of June 2016 Motorcycle meeting at Stelvio Pass

      On the first weekend of July, Sondalo and the Stelvio Pass are the bikers’ kingdom

      A classic for all bike lovers: the Stelvio International Metzeler motorcycle meeting

      The 40th Stelvio International Metzeler Motorcycle Meeting, a classic for all the motorcycle lovers, will take place from June 30th to 3rd Julyin Sondalo and on the Stelvio Pass. The heart of the event will be at theSondalo Mulltifunctional Sports Center.

      Many events are planned during the rally, such as stuntman’s shows, live music of both local and national bands, and lots more. The highlight will be the traditional lights parade living up the small town of Sondalo on Saturday, July 2nd. And then on Sunday, July 3rd, all on the bikes to conquer the Stelvio road and live a unique experience among the fascinating hairpin bends.

      The event always stands out for its happy and fun atmosphere, thanks to the participation of thousands of bikers from many different countries and from all age groups, but all sharing a common passion: the motorbike!

      The motorcycle rally is open to all types of motorcycles and it will take place in any weather condition.

      Stelvio Challenge


        Step in your pedals and give a smile to the children in the hospital !

        The Stelvio Challenge, is a charity bicycle race for the European cooperation project between the Dutch and Italian “CliniClowns”, which assist seriously unwell and disabled children in hospitals.

        The date is Friday, 26th June when cyclers and enthusiast will meet to ascend the Stelvio, the legendary climb in the cyclers world with its hairpin bends that lead to the peak at 2758m above the sea level. It’s a personal challenge but also love for the people around you. The purpose of the event is to collect funds to support the work of the Hospital Clowns, who try to bring a smile and a bit of happiness to the children in the hospitals.

          Re Stelvio Mapei 2015

            On July 12 the road from Bormio to Stelvio Pass will be closed to vehicular traffic and open to anyone who wants to climb the legendary ascent on foot or by bike.
            1,533 meters in altitude, 40 turns to 21.5 kilometers.
